Ok, I just went for an interview today. Don't ask me how it went, cos I seriously don't know what to make of it myself. I just hope I didn't blew it, but anyways, what will be will be, my greatest fear is that I may never get there.
"Tell us more about yourself"
The one question that I hate/scare/dread at interviews. I know its a really common and straightforward question, but somehow, I always seem to make a huge mess out of it, and no matter how many time I attempted to answer that question, no, I just could never "perfect" it.
Frustrates me so really.
Do you find it difficult to tell others what kind of person you are in summary? I mean, I vould have a hundred and one things to say about myself, but then not all are relevant when it comes to interviews. I mean, how do you sum up what you are like at work?
Ok, I could probably throw up a few now, but in front of the interviewer, nothing relavant comes up, and cos I am so damn scared I would say the wrong things, my mind often go into shock when it happens. Crap.
I could have bluff and bullshit my way through and get the job, I know everyone does that at interviews, but there's a price to pay, and I really don't want to "over-promise" and then disappoint everybody else and myself.
Guess I'm really not good at hard selling myself. Anyone have an advise or two to share with me on this? I wanna brush up my "attending interviews" skills a little. =p
