Food Chain

Short one, cos I've got nothing really interesting to blog about except a thought that occured to me the other day when I was watching a documentary on dangerous or killer swarms or something to that effect.

The food chain. Ever heard of that? Any one of you knows what that means??

I was referring to a law of mother nature. I suppose you all know how it is out there where a species of animals kill another for food and in turn get killed by another for food (and so the predator and prey relationship recycles).

Some of those videos you might have seen before on discovery channel or something actually shows footages of the whole erm... killing process, like how a zebra gets chased after by a lion or tiger and runs for dear life, of course not making it.

And so I was watching this documentary where they got to the part where a swarm of pirana fishes waits patiently in the erm.. sea below for one of the little birds above in the nests on the trees to lose their balance and fall off...

So begins the commentor in the documentary about how the cycle goes, the bird get eaten up by the pirana and the pirana gets eaten up by some other sea creature and all, its really very poor thing, BUT such is just a law of nature yaddah...yaddah... and its called the FOOD CHAIN.

For a moment, I was so damn thankful that I'm human. *phew*

Now, aren't you glad that you are right on the top of the food chain?

Ok, I know, this is a very pointless entry, just a passing thought of mine...
